Many of the stud dogs below are owned/co-owned by Sylvan and Argent. These lovely individuals are brought together through the partnership of these two kennels and their owners, Dr. Cindi Bossart, Connie and Shirley DuBois. "Dawson" is one of the best that Sylvan and Argent have to offer -- Show Dog Extraordinaire! Nicknamed "Awesome Dawson" by the local fancy, he finished at just under two years of age with Specialty and Group wins under highly respected specialty and all breed judges. "Dawson" carries all the detail of his sire, CH Sylvan's Ruffian, with the power and grace of his dam, CH Sylvan's Sweetest Taboo. He has produced 12 champions to date including the top winning rough collie in the history of the breed, SAX and her younger sister, Gucci, also a multiple BISS and BIS winner. "Mathew" is the combination of two tightly linebred individuals. His sire is a full brother to our SAX and his dam is a Ch Alfenloch the Silver Laser grandaughter out of a sister to SAX' sire, Dawson. Mathew is our hope for the future. His coloring is that clear silvery blue so hard to find today. He is all male in "stallion-like" outline and carriage and he carries a heavy coat. His legs will leave you breathless. This is the dog that covers ground with full extension and propulsion from the rear. He has the classic head the Sylvan Argent dogs are known for and is another goey faced individual- much like his auntie SAX. He finished in a whirlwind five consecutive shows at under two years of age. After this kind of a start, we expect great things from this boy. Great things indeed! His first litter is on the ground and at three weeks have us truly giddy with excitement.

CH Syvlan Argent Empire Maker
With a name as ostentatious as Empire Maker, we truly believed from the start that Evan had a place here at Sylvan Argent as a fundemental contributor to our breeding program. "Evan" is a young dog who has just produced his first litter at Creston Collies. His pedigree combines all the old "great ones" in collie lineage. Sired by our Dawson and out of an inbred Tartanside bitch, we are truly excited to what Evan has to offer. He has that incredible sweet yet masculine expression and his style and carriage screams collie type. Combined with his sire's powerful drive and smooth reaching gait, we can only expect him to produce nothing but extraordinary.
